Speech and Language Therapy Information
Working with a speech and language therapist should be a seamless, simple process. Lindsey Torgersen Speech & Language Therapy ensures that each child’s parent is equipped with all of the information needed to make the speech therapy process effective and beneficial.
Insurance
While Lindsey does not bill insurance, some clients can be successful submitting claims for Out of Network reimbursement. Lindsey is happy to provide you with the appropriate paperwork so you can attempt to submit these claims.
Cancellation
If you are unable to attend your session, please cancel 48 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you will be charged a full rate without exception.
Payment
Lindsey accepts all major credit and debit cards. If you wish, credit card payments can be processed automatically after each session through a secure payment system to eliminate any hassle. Lindsey does not accept cash or checks. The fee is due at the time of service.

Do you bill insurance?
While Lindsey Torgersen Speech & Language Therapy LLC does not bill insurance, some clients can be successful submitting claims for out of network reimbursement. I am happy to provide you with the appropriate paperworks os you can attempt to submit these claims.
What ages do you work with?
Lindsey works with kids of all ages.
Will you travel to my home?
Yes, for now all therapy will take place in the home of the client.
What room in my house is best for therapy sessions?
Most clients prefer to use a playroom or living room that is quiet and away from any distractions. While parents do not need to be in the same room as the therapy session, a parent or legal guardian needs to be at the house during the time of the session.
Do you offer teletherapy?
Yes, if teletherapy is appropriate for the client it is an option through my secured teletherapy system. It can be considered to help with any scheduling conflicts, as well as any health concerns with in-person therapy.
Do I need a referral?
No, because Lindsey is a private speech and language therapist she does not require a doctor's referral.
Do you require an evaluation?
Yes, we require that the therapy process begins with an evaluation, unless an outside evaluation completed by another licensed provider within the past year. Lindsey believes that evaluations are a crucial step in the treatment process.
How long will an evaluation take?
Most evaluations will take approximately 1 hour. An evaluation report will be sent via secured messenger up to 48 hours after the evaluation appointment.
How long is each therapy session?
Each session will be 45 minutes long. Leaving a 15 minute window for parent/client questions and concerns.
What is a SuperBill and how does it work?
A SuperBill is an Out of Network insurance claim that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement for services. The client is responsible for the verification of Out of Network benefit coverage provided by their insurance company prior to submitting a SuperBill. Payment is due upon the time of service, and upon request, Lindsey can provide a SuperBill at the end of each month that you can submit to your insurance company.
